The beautiful and talented french musician and fashionista, Francoise Hardy, turns 70 today!!! Born Francoise Madeline Hardy in Paris, France – she went on to become an inspiration and living legend in the areas of fashion and music. In the 60s her style had a preppy french vibe, but with a bit of an edge.
Francoise hardy came onto the scene at age 17 as a folk singer with her breathy and angelic voice in the 60s. She added elements of rock, jazz, and blues to her music which set her apart from other musicians of the time.
She later did some acting work and caught the attention of Bob Dylan who requested to meet her on a trip to Paris when he performed at the Olympia in 1966.
Francoise Hardy is truly an inspiration and has left her mark on music and fashion forever. It’s even been said that she was a muse for Balenciaga.
More than a pretty face, she’s also very intelligent and speaks/sings in French, Italian, English, German, Spanish, and Portugese.
Francoise Hardy remains a fashion icon to this day. Her shy personality makes her incredibly endearing and her success in spite of her introversion is an inspiration. Without a doubt, she’s beautiful, talented, and unequivocally cool 😉 We love you Fracoise!
